Huh?

I have this sweet, angelic 6 year old daughter. One of those kids that literally has sunshine coming out of her backside, wings, halo, the whole bit. The most innocent of children that doesn't even know to ask where babies come from... This angel has the sweetest lips that usually form the words, "You're the best Mommy in the whole wide world," or, "I love you so much Mommy." But yesterday... oh yesterday was different at breakfast I hear:

"Well, that sucks!"

Someone get me a drink... this is going to be a bumpy ride from here on out.

LOL, I so know how you feel. I hear my six year old talking to his younger siblings like I do to him. Sure is a wake up call though I can't seem to stop!

Every day she is closer to becoming a Tween...

Mine has been singing a song that she wrote. It's called "Frickin Frickin Frickin". Isn't that lovely.

I guess it could have been worse! But, yeah. A new phase of parenting has begun...

I try so hard to watch my mouth but sometimes we all slip up. I am pretty good about not using the "real" swear words but I notice that things that don't sound too bad coming out of my mouth sound HORRIBLE coming out of theirs.
One that leaps to mind is actually a pretty innocent word. My older kids are always calling guys "hot" which sounds fine from them. Not so much when the (then) 3 year old says it about an elderly man walking past us. "Mommy, that man is Hot!" I was sooooo embarrassed.

Ah, don't you love it when they just come out with something like that? Actually... it's always hard for me to NOT laugh!
